Will The Real Hillary Clinton Please Stand Up?

...and then kindly shut the fuck up.

Once again, Hillary Clinton pulled some emotion out of her ass to try and salvage her poorly managed campaign (and if you can't manage a campaign, how you gonna manage the country?). After 40 some-odd minutes of typically robotic Clinton-Talking-Points, Hilary used her last answer to show us "The Real Hillary Clinton" and prove to the country that she is, in fact, a human being. Tellingly, her answer was all about her:

Sure she shifted the focus to the poor wounded heroes after she stated the question so many people supposedly ask her ("how do you do it") but notice how her little speech about the soldiers was ultimately about how compassionate SHE is. I mean, how canned was this statement: "You know the hits I've taken in life are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country." Turns out very canned (see final video).

Hillary's soldiers were merely used as props, proving she is as shameless as our current commander in chief. And can we really believe her emotions regarding the troops or is she covering up for the blood that is on her hands? For had she been as strong and brave a leader as she claims she is, she would have stood up along with her Democratic colleagues Daniel Akaka (D-HI), Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Robert Byrd (D-WV), Kent Conrad (D-ND), Jon Corzine (D-NJ), Mark Dayton (D-MN), Richard Durbin (D-IL), Russell Feingold (D-WI), Robert Graham (D-FL), Daniel Inouye (D-HI), Edward Kennedy (D-MA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Carl Levin (D-MI), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Patty Murray (D-WA), Jack Reed (D-RI), Paul Sarbanes (D-MD), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Paul Wellstone (D-MN), Ron Wyden (D-OR), and the lone Republican Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) and independent James Jeffords (I-VT) and voted against Joint Resolution 114 (the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002). But she voted for the resolution so I have to conclude that Hillary Clinton is just a giant phony.

The actual Real Hillary Clinton showed up earlier in the debate. This is the person who will do anything it takes to get elected. Who surrounds her self with overpaid hacks. Who allows these hacks to smear her opponents at will. And who obviously allows them to script some of these attacks for her own use (which occurs about 3 minutes in):

To me, this was the defining moment of the debate. This was when Hillary showed her true, nasty colors. Barack, of course, took it all in stride and remained above the fray. As he said before Hillary's ridiculous attack, "This is where we start getting into silly season in politics and I think people start getting discouraged about it..."

And here's a final irony of Hillary's attempt to save herself in last night's debate: Pretty much, her entire campaign against Obama has been to attack his so-called empty rhetoric. Her campaign upped the ante on these attacks last week by accusing Obama of plagarism, an accusation that has had little traction among voters but has given little chubbies to a number of pundits. It's apparent how desperate this campaign truly is if that's the best they've got (and you know her handlers thought they were going to hit a home run with that horrible "xerox" line). However, if you are going to accuse someone of stealing, you better not get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. But, that is exactly what happened last night when Hillary finished her emotional final answer with the following lines. Let's look at "The YouTube" as Hillary put it:

Hillary: "You know, whatever happens, we're going to be fine. You know, we have strong support from our families and our friends. I just hope that we'll be able to say the same thing about the American people. And that's what this election should be about." - Democratic Debate, 2/21/07

John Edwards: "What's not at stake are any of us. All of us are going to be just fine no matter what happens in this election. But what's at stake is whether America is going to be fine." - Democratic Debate, 12/13/07

And holy shit! She not only "plagiarized" John Edwards, she completely stole her "greatest hit" from her husband:

So Hillary, just shut the fuck up. We are sick and tired of "silly season."
