Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, calling themselves The Who, perform a new song called "Man in a Purple Dress" from their forthcoming albumEndless Wire (their first new album together since 1982).
Thank you for posting this clip. Though starkly different from "classic Who," I think this stripped down song captures the essence of the Who's greatness.
To me their music has always been one part prayer and one part piss. And I don't give a damn that the 2 are called the Who. Pete and Rog will always be the Who, so why not.
Another song from Endless Wire, called "Tea & Theatre", is brilliant. It's available as a stream off the Universal music web site, called eBlast, if you google it. Can't wait for the new album.
