WFMU's Beware of the Blog has posted 37 (!) different versions of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven (here). Missing from the list? An incredible backwards version sung by Dutchman Jeroen Offerman who explains:
"My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses and so I had a very strict Christian upbringing. There was a suspicion of rock and pop music, and some music, Led Zeppelin in particular, was branded downright evil. The rumor was that if you played Stairway to Heaven in reverse you could hear messages that would urge you to follow the devil's path. Supposedly even if you listened to the music in a normal manner you would subconsciously pick up these messages and act accordingly. In my early teens, I destroyed some music that I thought I shouldn't listen to or have at home. Stairway to Heaven was a difficult one for my friends and me. We thought the song and the lyrics were so utterly beautiful and yet we couldn't listen to it out of fear of what could happen to us if we did. That's the tension I felt by listening to this record: a teenage attraction to something dangerously beautiful. I am still intrigued how these myths are created and the effect they can have. So I started to learn to sing the song and its lyrics in reverse. After three months the job was done. I went up to the steps outside Saint Paul's Cathedral in London and performed it for an audience of confused passers-by, pigeons, and a video camera. Back home I reversed the tape and put a karaoke track underneath."
UPDATE: I've been asked to remove this video by it's creator:
Although I appreciate you liking my video, I definetely do not appreciate the fact that you put it out there on the web. So could you please remove it from your blog. If you would like to show something of it then please show a 30seconds clip only, like I did on my own website. Here's the link to his clip:Yours, Jeroen Offerman

Why would the child of a Jehova's Witness have a Christian upbringing?
Been there done that,i was born 1957 3rd generation Jehovah's Witness and i remember when Led Zeplin debuted in 1969 if i got caught listening to any Rock and Roll it meant a beating from my JW elder dad.
Now i am free from them,'was in the cult and now i'm out'.Cheers,Danny Haszard
"Why would the child of a Jehova's Witness have a Christian upbringing?"
... because it's a Christian sect. Why? What did you think they were?
Awesome. It's like Gary Oldman playing a deaf rock 'n' roller. Wait... He already did that.
Left wing, brokeback lovin', closeminded, bombthrowin', tree-hugging website. I really have pity for you, and hope you grow up someday.
Ok,this guy is NOT singing backwards. He's just singing with a thick,Slavic accent.
This is the reversed video. He sung it backwards, and then reversed the tape.
JW is hardly Christian...
Yeah, they are. Their version of Christianity is a bit different than the mainstream Catholic and Protestant sects, but they believe that the bible is the infallible word of God, and that Jesus Christ is the son of God. How exactly are they not Christians?
Granted, they do have some strange beliefs and cult-like practices, but that doesn't mean they're not Christians.
In reply to Anthony's "Ok,this guy is NOT singing backwards. He's just singing with a thick,Slavic accent."
How do you explain the pigeon walking backwards up some steps half way through the video!
Superb.
This guy is spot on. To do this, write down your de3sired text *phonetically*, speak those backward, and reverse. David Lynch had the small creepy guy in Fire Walk With Me do the same for his 'Formica tabletop" lines, just in case anyone saw that:) For some of the alleged satanic reversals, see http://cspeech.ucd.ie/~fred/personal/stairway.html
I'd love to hear this with teh vide played the 'right' way round, that is to hear him singing it backwards - quite a feat.
The Tate Modern (London modern art museum) used to have an exhibit of someone reciting the first few verses of the bible backwards at the bottom of angel tube station escalators (so likewise plenty of confused backward moving people).
I wonder if they'd take this? It's great. The cigarette at the end is a nice touch!
Really great job! I'd also like to see the 'forwards' version.
Along the same lines (but less impressive) is a little song/video I made of my ex-girlfriend saying "I am a vampire" looped continuously backwards and forwards... It came about just because we were playing with my camcorder using nightshot (which made her look spooky). I happened to view the clip in Quicktime with the repeat set to backwards and forwards and thought the resulting audio sounded like a catchy tune... And decided to add a few visual bells and whistles.
Check it out here:
http://liquidsoapdispenser.com/Vampire.mov
If you have quicktime installed, you can play it backwards (which is forwards) with command-left arrow (I guess it's ctrl-left on Windows).
I did - pretty amazing.
It sounded more Danish or Norwegian than slavic to me, and we all know how backwards they are...
JW's do not believe Jesus is the son of God, they do not believe in the holy trinity and they do not believe in the grace of god or the crusifiction - all of thse are against the basics of christian beliefs. Take a closer look, there are lot of resources on the net that could better educate you. Even most JW's (with this guy as an exception) will tell you they have different beliefs that "christians".
I was raised JW as well.
You're a complete ass, anonymous poster; JW's are a christian sect, just like any other.
JHWs are not Christians! They say that they are but they deny the core belief of Christianity; Jesus being the Son of God and the holy trinity and thus deny the authority of the Son. It's only through His son that we are able to know the Him and all it takes for one to be saved is to believe in Jesus that he is your personal saviour.
the only people who believe jws are a sect of christianity are jws. also, have a read on the infallibility of the jhws version of the bible you might be in for a surprise.
I wonder if anyone from *any* Christian sect really thinks that being a judgemental ass is the way to help convert the world or if it's simply good ol' "holier than thou" stinking up the comments here. Apparently Christians today spend more time reading (and commenting on) blogs than they do the Bible otherwise they'd know what Jesus thought of this sort of attitude. I don't recall Jesus considering "Pharisee" a Christian sect during his lifetime and I doubt he would today either.
Also, just to set the record straight: Jesus was a liberal who hung out with prostitutes and lepers, so get over it. He didn't have to go to a movie to see sinners, he lived with them and loved them. If you're planning on going to heaven someday, you'd better learn to as well.
obviously i missed that english class where they told us how "incredibly backwards version sung by Dutchman" was a synonym for "hey guys let's have big arguments about jesus"
Is a religion considered to be Christian if it believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ?
Only if it has the same beliefs as my true Christian religion is the apparent answer.
-Will
Yeah, the line of reasoning seems to go like this: "I am a true Christian and in particular I believe x, y, and z. Thus, anyone who doesn't believe x, y, and z is clearly not a Christian. Even if they say they are. So there. I have the truth, you are wrong. Obviously. Durrr."
It's clearly a highly persuasive argument... Oh, but you'd better go tell the Unitarians too, since they don't believe in the trinity and thus are clearly not Christians. Gonna burn in hell, those Unitarians! For example. Hmmm, come to think of it, surely anyone who isn't a Catholic is going to, aren't they? Wait, did I say Catholic? I meant Anglican! No, wait! Russian Orthodox! Dang it! Er, Methodist? Um... Sorry, what was it that Christ taught again? I seem to have forgotten in my rush to tell everyone what set of rules to follow and what set of beliefs to have. You know, so we can make the world a better place. Miserable, but better.
But yeah, totally impressive video.
Frigging genius. Led Zep meets Twin Peaks - wish I'd seen the filming of it! Great choice of venus too.
Christianity:
All mankind is inherently sinful, and thus doomed to hell.
Jesus is the Son of God and lived a perfect, sinless life on Earth.
Jesus' death on the cross was a sacrifice made to redeem mankind.
Jesus rose from the grave three days later and eventually ascended to heaven.
Anyone who believes on Jesus' sacrifice and turns from a life of sin will be saved.
Jesus himself said that this is the only way to go to heaven.
These are the core Christian beliefs, and beyond them, everything else, like denomination, is just secondary.
That said, the Jehovah's Witnesses sect does not seem to believe in several important basic tenets of Christianity.
A cursory glance at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah%27s_witnesses seems to show many discrepancies between Jesus' teachings and what they believe. As I am not an expert on JW, I won't try to analyze their beliefs, leaving that to someone with more knowledge on the subject.
The video would be perfect if it ended with those gigantic doors opening up and bright light streaming through. :)
Oh and by the way, you religious freaks: STFU IT DOESN'T MATTER!
Awesome video! You should make a series of them with other "controversial" oldies. It would make a good museum piece.
agreed. anonymous "know it all" = totally dumb shit.
While Jehovah's Wittneses's read the bible, they read a high customized version of it called the "New World Translation" in which all references to the diety of Jesus Christ have been removed in order to make the scriptures more compatabile with their core teachings and doctrines.
All but the most liberal of Christian Churches agree that the Jehovah's Witness's Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is a cult. One of the easiest ways to pick a cult isnt by polling the mainstream church, but to poll the cult itself - the Watchtower rejects all other religions as false and sets itself up as the only path to Christ. The Watchtower rejects the core tennates of historical Christianity and teaches that there is no trinity, that Jesus was the archangel michael, that he was destroyed and recreated three days laterbyt he Father. They also teach that there is no hell and that only 144,000 members of their particular organization will be allowed into heaven. Talk about closed minded...
With that said, the mainstream church does consider the Watchtower to be a non-Christian cult. The core problem that the mainstream Church has with the Watchtower is that they deny the diety of Christ. Take away the diety of Christ and the atonement of Christ becomes a 1:1 proposition instead of a 1:many proposition. Even if your not a theologian, think about this for a moment from a theological perspective, how many created beings can a created being atone for? 1! How many created beings can an eternal, omnicient, omnipresent being atone for (past, present, future spanning all time and space)? all...
While the Watchtower continues to grow, they have had some serious setbacks. If I remember correctly, they have set at least nine dates which have come and gone boldy proclaiming that Christ was comming back and that the end of the world had come. In the 70's they had to change their tune because it was becomming painfully obvoius that Christ had not returned and so they proclaimed that Jesus returned to earth invisably in the 70's. One other major difficulty that the Watchtower has faced is that they not only set dates but numbers. According to the watchtower, only the first 144,000 initial members of their organization will be allowed into heaven and Christ will return physicall before that reminant 144,000 passes away. To date there are only a handfull of members left out of that original 144,000 so things are starting to look a little bleak.
With that said, this was a really fun video. As a young man I was also encouraged to throw away all of my rock and roll music because it was the devils work. Now that I'm an adult with kids of my own I'm tempted to use the same line on my kids to get them to stop watching Sponge Bob Square Pants and Barney the purpple dinosaur but that would just be too cruel. Im a little bitter that I lost my led zepplin and floyd box sets as a result of all of this closed mindedness, but I dont blame the church - I blame the baby boomer generation for taking something beautiful like the scriptures and twisting them to say things that they really dont say in an attempt to make the world they live in more pallatable.
Thanks for putting in all the time and the work to pull this one off, I really enjoyed it.. :)
just listened/watched with my dogs. it's an incerdible performance. better than
a dutch rendition that i could try to do. now i remeber why i'm a normal balanced
individual. x
I really enjoyed your video!!! I also tried this using a Digital Keybord to help me transpose words/sentences and it was really fun. I also grew up a JW from about 2 years old to the week before my High School graduation. Just ignore the idiot comments of those who don't understand. Have a good life! I hope being a JW didn't mess you up too much, some of it was good and some of it was just ....ummm... unrealistic(?).
I'l totally down with the JW's, I used to go bowling with them back in the 70s. Psychadelic!
-J.C., Your L&S in the Big H.
Amazing work, congratulations. If you get the chance to do other versions of this, I'd love to see clock tower in the background. The people walking by are great elements.
I expected it to be funny, but it's even more beautiful.

The only people who believe that JW's are Christians (or a sect thereof) are those people who have two or more brain cells to rub together.
144,000 will be allowed in heaven, as it says in the book of Revelations. Those are really the creme de la creme of humanity, not just JW's or any other form of Christianity. HOWEVER, any one who accepts God into their hearts and leads a good life will be saved and forever live in paradise on earth. Truth is, there really isn't a mention of forever being damned in the fires of hell. The only time that it is referred to as eternal punishment were demons, NOT HUMANS. JW's don't believe in hell because there's no need for it. After all, why would there be hell and the Apocalypse? Why would God forever torment those he loves after he give his son to cleanse there sins?
Now, I'm not trying to exempt JW's from whatever practices people don't agree with. I, myself, left them when I was a teen for very much of the same reasons some have cited.
But, all these damnations about what "fake" bible they read, (St. James, Book of Mary Magdalene, Judas, and Dead Sea Scrolls anyone?) and why don't see Jesus as a true god, rather then a son of God, or if God has three beings, or a bunch of limbs or whatever mental images that may become our own, or if their imprinted on us by popes or baby boomers, or the number of members? They're bullshit. It doesn't matter. People are bickering over passages of an incomplete bible that most don't even remember. How silly. How stupid. How exhausting.
Everyone just shutup and listen to the man sing all funky like now.
Sadixt
this feat would have taken an enormous amount of practice. Dude you rock!
I only wish you hadn't mentioned religion, look at all these tossers arguing in here!
First off, let me say, I am very impressed with the feat. Holy crap dude.
Holy crap indeed.
And on the topic of if the JW's are a Christian Sect - there is actually a very easy test for this and a slightly more complex one.
The first test is to check if the church body in question is listed as a Christian church by international bodies.
The second (and slightly more complex test for the layperson) would be to check the churches confessions against those of the historic church, that is to say, the apostolic, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds. The churches that ascribe to these belong to what is called the catholic church (Notice the small "c". Catholic and catholic have different meanings.)
While it is the most difficult to grasp, the Athanasian Creed would discount the JW's from belonging to the church catholic, and thus from being what is mainly understood to be the Christian faith in general.
Also to the question of the cannon - do not beleive everything that you read about what books did not make it in. There were several cannons in the first few centuries of the church, mainly due to Gnostic influence. The Gospels according to Judas and MM belong to this time period and have no literary merit unto themselves as they seem to have been written in the third century (compare to the synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke which were written very close to the end of the first century, and of which we have many copies from this time period.)
I would be happy to entertain questions about this issue on my blog.
Amazing!!! That must have taken you ages to commit to memory.
As for the religious stuff, I can relate. I mentioned my own horror stories concerning my mother's warnings about rock and roll a couple of months back in this post. I don't get many comments on my blog, but that one brought the religious whackos out of the woodwork, as I predicted.
144,000 souls get to enter. OK, so, ...what happens if there are only 143,999 worthy souls? Does that mean...NOBODY GETS IN?
I'd like to make some requests! How about:
1. Crazy Train - Black Sabbath
2. Give It Away - Red Hots (they did it with the video, right?)
3. Proud to be an American - Lee Greenwood (Imagine it!)
Any others?
Oh, and actually the Church didn't really have any cannons at all until after 1225. China had a lock on the technology. (Sorry, I couldn't resist; I used to be a proof reader.)
A) This is cool
B) God is a fiction.
man made god up so he would have something greater than himself to pray to and beg for forgiveness. man needs something to tell himself that there is a reason and reward for doing and being good.
What this has to do with a very interesting version of Stairway , i don't know . But i must add that seeing and hearing and reading the things you good christians believe make me very happy to not believe, and therefore not be going to your heaven.
It's so awesome that this thread became a flame war about who's gets to carry a Christian Brotherhood card. Jesus loves it too...he thinks irony is hilarious. He told me so through my Christian Avenger radio watch. It's powered by an Anti-Cathar battery.

Well, now it would be a nice thing if he would mention on his site where you can watch the movie officially. When I first stumbled upon this I expected some kind of link where to buy the DVD, or where to watch it on some kind of tour.
looks fake. looks like he sung it forwards and just reversed the video. blah!
@mr. shark attack: Did you actually watch the video? Did you actually read any of the information on his site?
He gives live performances of this. He sings it backwards in front of the audience, which is videotaped. Then he takes the video, reverses it, and plays it back for the audience.
He's not some kind of fraud looking for 15 seconds of fame. He's an artist and this happens to be one wicked cool performance piece.
Arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.
Get a life people!
There are/is no god(s) or any such "Higher Power". Deal with it.
Just wanted to say "Thank Goodness" someone else has put Jesus out there as the heavenly bouncer. I mean, is this guy a goalie? Is he there to check ID's? Badass video, stupid comments. Take your jesus and jam him up your @ss. If your god is really THAT uptight, I'd rather have nothing to do with him, thanks. Especially given that your "religion" STOLE the majority of its' major holidays from the pagans, I invite you to STFU.
What a discussion about what jehovah witnesses are or not, haven't you all been visited by them? And could have known for sure what they do believe. I don't know where some of you get your information from. But where I come from, the jehovah witnesses use the new testament, same as some churches might, and for the rest have there own explanation of the bible, which is more fearfull then even the churche might be. And why are you saying that jehovah wittnesses are not a christian sect, you don't like the word christian put together with jehovah wittnesses, maybe you should look down what christian means. as it is that jehovah wittnesses do believe that jesus is the son of god, and in the holy trinity.
Yay Holy war!
Since no one bothers to define their terms, it is meaningless to talk about who is or isn't Christian. It is however certain the the Witnesses deny certain core beliefs of every other extant Christian sect, and are therefore at least anomalous. It is untrue to say they are a sect "just like any other".
So Sayeth Thy Lord, Logic
the witnesses do not belive in the trinity because no such force exists, the bible has been altered far to long. althought the bible has been messed with it does not say that god , jesus and the holy spirt are actualy one, it says they work together. god is a spirit and it wdould be unnatural to tun himslf into a human, angels that made bodies for themself were going aginst the law of god, and were thefore cast with satin as demons. athough god may seem he can do anything do not forget he is perfect, perfect creatures whether they be spirits or humans can not go aginst there own desisions, mainly because it was a perfect chiose. with all this knon it is impossale to say that god, jesus and the father are one, for that is what the trinity poses.
Satan believes in Jesus. Does that make him a christian?
jehovah's do not accept christ so how can they be christians? it is an example of how someone will twist a belief to make it conform to benifit or control others for their own gain.
ho my ! it's so cool
Hello,
it seems that the first number of the magazine where the short is featured is out of print and can't be bought (http://www.wholphindvd.com/issues/issue_1.html)
Anybody got the complete video? I'm a Led Zeppelin fan and I'm dying to see the complete version of this video.
If you have the video drop me a line to and we can arrange something: xxdcdxx '-at-' terra '-dot-' es
The reverse-reverse version that Braad Spitt made is impressive (scroll some comments up to see it), be sure to check it out.
okay, Revelations says 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, not people in general.
Second of all, a Christian would be a follower of Christ. Christ said he was God, and equal with God. There is no inbetween sorry. Jesus based all of his teachings off saying he was God.
If JW's say Jesus wasn't God, then they are remarkably similiar to Muslims, who say that Jesus was a 'good guy' although point two should of disproved that possibility.
And last for now, you can love someone and disagree with them. Christians can love JW's as individuals. JW's are not Christians though.
Well, one more point. If you're talking about Satan being thrown to hell with the demons, its 2 a's (not Satin)
haha awsome, just awsome you are truly a god amugnst men.
and to all you morons argueing about wether JW is christian or not, lemme ask you a question:
does it realy fuckin matter! neither of you are gunna change what you think no matter what the other says so just fuckin drop it! you sorry excuse for human beings!
Jehova's witnesses don't have the right to call themselves christians. Everyone who says they're a sect of christianity are idiot, why don't you read the bible doochbags. You may as well say terrorists are real muslims.
Obviously, the lirics were purposefully made, its just plain logic idiots. There is no secret evil power, that is impossible by any standards.
The first issue of Wholphin is available with an issue of McSweeney's Quarterly Concern no.18. Your local bookstore might carry it with other back issues of McSweeneys in the Literary Studies section. I know mine did. Purchased October 6, 2006.
I'm no longer interested in his 'art'. It's unfortunate that someone so talented could be so naive regarding the marketing power of the Internet.
I was once pursuing Offerman for a contract but have been disillusioned by the way he has handled this, so the offer has been permanently pulled.
why can't you all realize that there is no such thing as god, god was created by man to explain all the things he didn't understand, give himself a reason for living and to make himself think that when he died he was going to a better place.... the truth is we are animals just like every other animal and when we die we're going in the ground, that's it.... civilizations have been creating gods since the beginning of time to answer the unanswerable....
Regarding whether Jehovah's Witnesses are Christian or not....
Name one Christian group that believes that Jesus Christ is the fallen angel of the abyss (Abaddon)in Revelation 9:11.
And name one Christian group that holds an annual ritual where the symbolic flesh and blood of Christ is rejected.
The answer is.......there are NO groups that are Christian that does the above.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are instructed to "pass" on the symbolic flesh and blood of Christ, and they are taught to believe that Jesus is a fallen angel.
Nuff said.
The Danny Haszard Cult now has a few followers.
Danny has adopted the universal cult-leader stance of presenting himself as both a victim, and a type of savior showing the way to salvation. He is of course successful with only those who reject an honest investigation and give themselves over to the control and teachings of someone who teaches hate.
These traits, of being a victim and a leader intensely interested in saving others, are of course at the very essence of Cults and their delusional leaders.
Though offering a pretense of help, however, his offering lacks conciliatory and genuine assistance to Jehovah's Witnesses, fellow "victims" for whom surely he must hold some kind of good intent.... But, no, he sadly and pathetically just tries to create separation and anger, tries to divide families, tries to destroy happiness, and teaches a withdrawing from and a rejection of the accepted freedoms of speech of our society.
He suppresses the truth in favor of his own vitriolic hate. His efforts are reflective of a perception of personal grandeur and a fixation on his own self-worth.
Also a trait of Cult leaders, Danny lacks the fortitude and purpose in life to accomplish good for himself and others without needing the adulation of others he can dupe. Cult leaders need to build their own self-esteem and to feed their own personal aggrandisement, and to strengthen their own wobbly beliefs by grasping for the approval of followers. Anger is so often a front for fear and weakness. It is the weak person, usually accompanied by weak reasoning, who turns from truth and uses anger and fear as a motivator. Those similarly inclined or susceptible become followers of cult leaders like Danny Haszard.
Instead he has actually made himself more of a slave to the Watchtower than he ever was as a member - he is addicted to his fears and anger, addicted to attacking, delusional as to the success of his efforts to tear down the faith of others, and uses hate as a tool to appeal to those similarly lacking in faith, or honesty, or dignity, or self-worth, or personal esteem.
Remarkably his entire purpose in life in now linked to the Watchtower. Again, apparently, more than it ever was as a member.
This cultish behavior includes efforts to drawing off a following for himself....He has set himself up as an authority figure who works hard to attract followers.

Up close and personal Jehovah's Witnesses can be wolves in sheep's clothing.
Think about this-When the devil comes knocking on your door he may not have the 'dark goth look'.They could be smartly dressed and wielding the Christian Bible.
I have Jehovah's Witnesses family in the USA who practice the Watchtower JW enforced ritual shunning that i have not seen or heard from in 15 years.
The central core dogma of the Watchtower is Jesus second coming (invisibly) in 1914 and is a lie.Jehovah's Witnesses are a spin-off of the man made Millerite movement of 1840.
A destructive cult of false teachings, that frequently result in spiritual and psychological abuse, as well as needless deaths (bogus blood transfusion ban).
Yes,you can 'check out anytime you want but you can never leave',because they can and will hold your family hostage.
The world has the Internet now,and there are tens of thousands of pages up from disgruntled ex-Jehovah's Witnesses like myself who have been abused by the Watchtower cult.
Jehovah's Witnesses are often a mouth that prays a hand that kills. The Watchtower is a truly Orwellian world.
10 Million EX-JW now
There are now twice as many former Jehovah's Witnesses as there are active ones with 13,000 leaving every month.

hey ive been looking every where for this, i dont have the fifty dollars to spend on that retarted magazine but all i could find is this is is only about thirty seconds long but i thought it was pretty good, i dont think led zeppelin actually did this on purpose though, i do know that your mind will look for what it sees, by this i mean before i read what the supposed satanic lyrics were i just listened to the track i also tested it with a few friends, all we heard was jibberish and dumb crap, but after reading the supposed lyrics we heard the satanic stuff, so i concluded that,(this is only my opinion and doesnt have to be regarded) that these allegations were infact untrue, only after the words were implanted into my mind was i able to hear the said satanic lyrics, anyway ya heres the link to the thirty second clip of the song he made

Johovah's, Mormon's, all look fake to me. Plastic evangelic ministers with that brainwashed dazed look in there eyes. They double talk and try to persuade people into "Buying into" there less than 100 year old religion. There ideas and beliefs are simple proven to be totally false. Spirituality is beteween God and me, and nobody else. Private. But if being a Jahovah makes you happy, great! PEACE
dude, dude, i hate to interrupt your spirited debate, but does anyone actually think he or she can convert any jehovah's witness by mocking them to their face? i mean, im a christian, i think jehovah's witness is not a christian sect, so what? im not going about ranting about it? so my advice to you who think you're so religious? shut up and stay on topic. yeah, im barely 15. you guys should have no excuse if you're an adult. and please, don't reply to this.
John Bonham, RIP.
I want to watch this video. Can somebody send it to me?
U.S studies are not always accurate. I have been part of many studies. Whether they have done it more or not is not what matters. It is an individual decision, so to blame it on a whole religion does not make sense. There are just sick people out there. You find them everywhere. And If you are not a witness then what concern is it to any of you. If you don't like it stay out of it. No one or no religion is perfect but why must people single out on the JW's. Its pure ignorence because people do not know the truth. If you do not know all the facts then stop making issues about it.
Ghandi once said something like "I like your Christ, but I hate your Christians"
I am a Christian, and I have seen Christians do evil things under the flag of Christianity. "Christians" often give Christians a bad name. Always remember, all people are human and flawed. There is no one perfect and we all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Therefore, only Jesus can save us from Hell.
As to the JW's, you can call them whatever you want, names don't matter. Ultimately, we are only saved by grace through faith. If someone calls themself a JW then they should really look into what that means and consider what they really believe.
Fighting over all this does no one any good. Present your beliefs and ideas without swearing, mocking another's beliefs, name calling, etc.
PS to those that have adamantly proclaimed that there is no God, that's fine, you can believe what you want. Just remember that blasting someone's faith is extremely offensive and not ok. I personally disagree with you 100%, but I'm not going to call you names for not believing. I expect the same courtesy.
Tim, settle down on those that believe there is no God. For instance, most buddists I've met live closer to the teachings of Christ and the Torah than the supposed followers of those books. Chastise the posters for rudeness, not their belief or lack thereof in deities.
BACK ON TOPIC:
Stairway rocks, everyone relax, go to youtube and put on the original tune, roll a spliff and chill out to the good vibes.
I'm no longer a christian, because of exactly what these so called christians are doing on this blog. I'd like to be known only as a believer. Sorry guys/gals whomever were called names, abused, sweared at etc etc, forgive them cause they (christians) no not what they're believing...and doing!
Look at yourselves, you ought to be ashamed! Every one...do unto others as you would like them to do unto you...
Peace bro's...

back in 60's-70's, they said rock and roll was evil, sinful, the devils music, that you'd go to hell for listening to it, now the TV church network TBN has their own rock-n-roll channel JCTV aimed at indoctrinating youth, I guess it's not a sin if they do it
