I'm supposed to care about these characters because...? Seriously, last night's premiere of HBO's Big Love made C-Span's Book TV seem like an adrenaline rush. Not to mention the fact that Big Love's polygamy premise is completely reprehensible (is it satire? an indictment? an apology? what the hell is the point?).
And yet, I still care about that big, violent lug Tony Soprano. Go figure.
