Definitely No Connection Between Dangerous Rhetoric and the Giffords Assassination Attempt

(thanks for the tip, Mick)

Yes, Jared Lee Loughner has mental problems. But does anyone think it's wise to give someone with mental problems dangerous ideas about elected officials let alone a gun (let alone a semi-automatic pistol with a 33-round magazine)? Dots must be connected. Just sayin'...

My old buddy Steinski created a frightening (yet soulful as usual) musical take on the consequences of violent rhetoric:

Good Boy!

How the hell did this go on for 6 minutes? And what the hell is up with the guy combing his hair at the beginning of this video:

Sarah Palin's State of Her Living Room Address

Finally got around to watching that Sarah Palin speech. Well, at least the most important parts of it:

Indie Nerd Comedy Gold

I was going to post a huge rant about many of the media reactions to last weekend's horrible assassination attempt and murders but I've been too busy -- plus I'm not quite ready to allow my eyes and ears to be exposed to Sarah Palin's selfish, vain and defensive Facebook video response (I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to do about all of the blood that will inevitably gush out of those orifices). So instead, here's something that made me happy:

This Project is Really Cool: You Should Help Fund It

Pogo, the "chap" behind the Alice remix has moved beyond cutting and splicing movies and has embarked upon Remixing the World:

He got the idea for the project after remixing his mother's garden, his first remix to venture out into the real world:

Inspired by the youtube response to the video and song, he has decided to remix what he considers "each major culture of the world." So far, he has remixed Johannesberg, South Africa:

But if he is going to succeed in traveling around the world, he is going to need your help. So go to his Kickstarter site and pledge a minimum of $1 and become a part of the potential future model for the music and film industry (ie: no corporate interference).
